Looking for a way to get rid of a fat or protruding stomach? Why not try a flat stomach diet?

Many people have what is called “belly bloat” that they can’t seem to get rid of no matter what they do. Does this sound like you?

If you have a hard time getting rid of your stomach then one thing you can do is try a flat stomach diet. It will eliminate
the things you may be eating that are causing your stomach to bloat out like a balloon.

We will show you some main causes of bloated stomach so you gain a little insight into why you might have that big ole gut!

In order to get a totally flat stomach you might want to start doing some flat belly exercises in combination with this diet. Diets for flat stomach will work together with stomach workouts for a flat stomach. The two together will get rid of belly bloat.

Especially crunches and sit ups that will help strengthen your stomach wall and tighten up the look of your mid-section.

However, if you are the lazy type you should be able to lose your belly by following a flat stomach diet similar to the one below if you stick with it for a while. It’s a one day example
of the belly bloat diet plan.

Keep in mind that you will have to stick to a diet like this for at least 6 weeks or more
to see good results. And of course, you will have to maintain it if you want to keep your tummy slim forever.

The most important thing you should know before you start is to never overeat. The number one thing that will make your belly stick out is overeating!

Also stay away from foods that might bloat you. Foods with lots of salt or too much yeast can make you bloat. Limit the amount of bread you eat each day and put away the salt shaker.

Flat Stomach Diet – One Day Sample Menu

Drink 8-10 glasses water every day on a flat stomach diet.


1 packet instant oatmeal or cream of wheat
1 cup milk
handful of raw sunflower seeds, unsalted
1 apple


1 slice of deli turkey
1 low fat 3 oz stick or piece of cheese
1/2 cup grape tomatoes


3 oz chicken breast boneless skinless
1 cup string beans with a little butter
1/2 cup brown rice

You can see that this diet has no bread since bread can bloat you like we mentioned earlier. You also drink lots of water because water will help flush out any toxic build up that might be contributing to
your bloat.

A lot of what gets stuck in a bloated belly is toxic material your body is hanging on to and not eliminating. The trick is to try to get all that build up out of your intestines by eating only low-fat, low-calorie foods and eating fruits and veggies that contain water.

You could also try doing a detox diet for three weeks where you eat plain natural foods, or do a juice diet and drink only fresh fruit and vegetables for a number of days.

This is a simple one day example of a flat stomach diet to reduce the tummy area. So many people experience belly bloat that a guy wrote a book on it called “The Flat Belly Diet”

Since there is more information to just this one day diet you should consider getting the book and following his more detailed long-term diets.

Juicing Recipes For Weight Loss
3 Day Juice Diet

Juice is liquid gold when it comes to losing weight quick. Not only will you lose weight quick, you will feel like a million bucks!

Just do a juice fast diet and you can lose 1 pound per day, every day that you stick to the diet.

Note* Please read the comment at the bottom of the page (if  you are considering a juice fast) as one visitor asked a very important question.

That’s 1 pound every day as long as you drink fresh juice and nothing else. You can drink as much juice as you like but keep in mind you should not stay on an all juice diet for too long. These juicing recipes for weight loss should not be attempted for more than 3 days at a time.

A good idea is to use a juice fast diet for a couple days, then eat lightly for a few days, and then do a couple more days of juice fasting.

Alternate eating with these juice fast days and you will be pleasantly surprised how much quick weight loss you will see.

If you are dying of hunger on the juice fast days then you can sneak in a few grapes here and there. Grapes are mostly water anyway so they can’t screw up your diet.

Always check with your doctor before starting any type of fast, especially if you are older or on medication.

A Few Tips On Juicers

I personally use Jack La Lannes juicer and I find it terrific. It makes lots of juice and has special safety features. Really great if you have kids and are safety conscious.

Whatever you do, do not use the BIG BOSS JUICER.  It was an infomercial juicer.

Infomercial stuff is usually low quality and is just made in order to make big bucks for someone.You often get low quality dollar store stuff.

I bought the big boss juicer because it was the cheapest one and boy was that a big mistake.

They did not even smooth the inside edges of the pieces when they made it in the factory so when I went to scoop out the pulp that gets left over from the juice in order to clean it out, I sliced my finger open.

Do not buy the BIG BOSS JUICER.  It was cheaply made and it sucks BIG BOSS TIME.

Below are your three days of juicing recipes for weight loss to use on this diet.

There are a total of 6 juices and you can drink them in any order you like and as much as you like.

Except you will probably find that sipping 3 glasses of juice is usually best. One for morning, noon and night. That is, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

You want to drink lots of water in between juices ( and don’t forget to sneak a few grapes)

Drink these juices for 3 days if  you want  fast weight loss or use them to do a one day a week fast with a low calorie diet like the 1000 calorie diet plan.

Your Juicing Recipes For Weight Loss


Fun Fruit Juice

1 pear,1 lemon, 1 wedge pineapple (I personally love lots of pineapple, so if you do too use lots of it in this drink)

Vegetable V8 Cocktail

1-2 tomatoes, 1 carrot, 2 celery stocks, 1/2 cucumber

Can’t Elope Surpise

1/2 cup grapes, 1 apple, 1 orange, 1/4 cantaloupe

Berry Nice

1 cup raspeberries or strawberries, 1 cup blueberries, 2 oranges peeled

Fruit Delight

1 wedge pineapple, 1 wedge watermelon, 6 strawberries, 1 cantaloupe wedge

Lean Green Machine

1 big handful green grapes, 1 kiwi, 1 cucumber, a few broccoli flowerets

Instructions: Peel all fruits and vegetables and cut up into smaller pieces then feed slowly through your juicer. Drink up within half hour.


Juicing Tip

Peel all fruit or vegetables before you juice. It is advisable (if you are concerned about toxins that are sprayed on produce) to use a mix of 1/2 water and 1/2 vinegar and soak veggies or fruit for 15 minutes before juicing.  This will take off most of the chemicals that may have been sprayed on during growing.

Most fruits for juicing are peeled anyway, so it is mainly the vegetables that you will want to soak in the vinegar/water solution. If you soak porous fruits like peaches for example they may absorb some of the vinegar flavor so take care not to soak soft fruits.

These juicing recipes for weight loss are not the only juice recipes out there. However, they are good starter recipes for you to try to help you loss weight for a shorter period of time.

The handy BMI calculator chart or body mass index formula below will help you find your body mass index number.

What is the Body Mass Index?

The BMI is  a ratio of height to weight that is an indication of your weight related health risks.

The BMI is considered  the most accurate way to predict if your weight could cause you to die before your time from health risks such as, heart disease, cancer or diabetes.

After doing the calculations you should end up with a number anywhere between 19 and 32.

I know this sounds complicated and maybe a bit scary but its really simple. How to calculate BMI? or how to figure BMI can be done in two ways.

You can easily look at the chart to determine your BMI or get out a calculator and use the following body mass index calculation. Do your body mass index calculation before you start a weight-loss diet plan to find out if you fall into a risk category.

If you have a BMI or 30 or more and once you start your weight loss plan, re-calculate your BMI monthly until  you get your result below 30. Once  you get it down you can basically forget about your body mass index and just keep on your diet plan. You don’t have to compute body mass index constantly anymore by using the BMI calculator chart.

How To Calculate Your Healthy Body Mass Index:

Divide your weight in pounds by your height in inches squared (this means that you multiply the number of inches by the same number of inches) and then multiply the result by 705.

So, for example if you weigh150 pounds and are 67 inches tall the calculation is as follows.

1. first multiply your height in inches (in this case we multiply 67×67=4489   squared

2. next divide your weight  which is 150 by 4489 =0.033 rounded off

3. then we multiply 0.033 by 705 = 23.265   rounded off we get our BMI as 23


Another method is to  look at the “BMI index chart” where the math has been done for you.

  • A BMI between 19 and 22 is considered desirable. A BMI between 23 and 25 means that you are at a normal weight, (perhaps just on the border of getting to be overweight) but probably not at high risk for weight-related diseases.
  • A BMI of about 26, means your risk for disease starts to increase.
  • If  you are between 25 and 27 you may be in a perfectly healthy BMI range depending on other factors that must be taken into account as a whole. These include things like  your family history, eating habits, age, and physical activity levels.
  • Anything after 28 means  you are getting into the health risk zone.
  • If your BMI is over 30 means you are obese and therefore at much greater risk to get weight related diseases such as heart disease for example. Here is our free BMI chart to make it easier if you don’t like calculating body mass index  yourself.
