The following 3 days of the 1200 calorie diet plan will take your through to the final 7 day of this diet. If you started with day 1 and then came back and did the first  3 days of menus that is.

By the time you do the next three days below you should visibly be able to see progress in your weight loss.

If you haven’t lost as much weight on this 1200 calorie diet plan as you would like, your metabolism may be stuck in slow gear.

 My best advice would then be to to try this 1000 calorie diet plan for the next week but also use this metabolism booster to really drop the pounds. It works to rev up the number of calories you body burns for optimum weight loss.

The following daily menus have roughly 1200 calories. I have provided the approximate number of calories for you just incase you decide you don’t like one of the foods provided and want to change it with something else. Make sure that if you do replace a food for another food of your choice that you replace it with something that has roughly the same calorie and a low fat content. Day 5

Breakfast

  • 1 piece whole grain toast (80)

Snack

  • large mixed fruit salad  (100)

Lunch

  • 2 slice turkey sandwich meat (40)
  • on whole grain bread (160)
  • carrot sticks and a little dip (50)
  •  lemon water (6)

Snack

1 cup yogurt /100 calorie or low fat yogurt (100)

Dinner

  • 1  1/2 cups spagetti cooked (220)
  •  made with lean ground beef recipe (241)
  •  ceasar salad (20)
  •  with 2 tbsp store bought ceasar salad dressing/low fat low cal  (80)
  • lemon water (6)

 

Total Calories 1215

Day 6

Breakfast

  • veggie omelet (1 egg with chopped onions, red or green peper, mushrooms etc of choice) (110)
  • 1 tsp margarine for making omelette (34)
  • 1 piece of whole grain toast (80)
  • 1 tsp margarine (34)
  • lemon water (6)

Snack

Lunch

  • 3 oz Tuna sandwich (100)
  • mixed with 2 tbsp mayo (use low fat mayo only)(30)
  • on two pieces of whole grain toast (160)
  • 1/2 cup regular store bought coleslaw (130)
  •  lemon water (6)

Snack

  •  your choice of raw veggies (15)
  •  low fat, low cal dip of your choice (35)

Dinner

  • 1 cup chili made with extra lean ground beef (250)
  • 1 green salad (15)
  •  with 2 tbsp store bought ceasar salad dressing/low fat low cal  (80)
  •  lemon water (6)

Total Calories 1211

Breakfast

  • 2 slices french toast made with low fat milk (200)
  • with 2 tbsp reduced sugar fruit spread of jam (30)
  • 1 cup of fruit salad (100)

Snack

  • celery and carrot sticks (20)
  • with 2 tbsps dip (your choice low fat dip)(50)

Lunch

  • 1 small piece veggie pizza  (350)
  • 2 cookies (your choice…but choose reduced calorie or low fat cookies)(90)
  • lemon water (6)

Dinner

  • 1 boneless chicken or turkey breast  or thigh (150)
  •  2/3 cup brown steamed rice with low salt soy sauce (150)
  •  Sliced cucumbers (10)
  •  1 tbsps store bought cucumber dressing (40)

Total Calories 1196
