Eat before you go and have a list of healthy foods you intend to buy. Only put diet food in your cart so that when you are at home the only options in your fridge are the good foods.

BREAKFAST                        340 calories total

Waffles and blueberries/strawberries

  • 2 regular Kellogg’s Eggo Nutri Grain waffles-blueberry   (180 cal)
  • 1 cup of frozen blueberries or strawberries   (80 cal)
  • Low fat  plain yogurt  (80 cal)

Mix the frozen fruit into the yogurt as a nice dessert or top your waffles with them. Do what pleases you.

SNACK                                                             – 110 calories total

Peanut Butter & Jelly ½ sandwich             

  • 1 tsp peanut butter (30 cal) and 1 tsp of jelly (30 cal)
  • 1 piece of a low cal bread like weight watchers bread (70 cal)

Spread the peanut butter and jelly on the bread for a mini sandwich snack.

 

LUNCH                                                              – 400 calories total

Tuna, Red Grapes & Walnuts on Greens     

  • Top 2 cups spring greens with 3 ounces chunk light tuna (70 cal),
  • 3/4 cup red grapes (78 cal)
  • and 3 tablespoons chopped walnuts (166 cal).
  • Drizzle with 2 tablespoons low-fat vinaigrette dressing (86 cal).

 

DINNER                                                            -341 calories total

Sweet and sour tofu stir fry recipe        

  • 1 cup cooked rice noodles       (180 cal)
  • 1 cup steamed greens            (15 cal)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds sprinkled on top (52 cal)
  • 1 tsp margarine                     (34 cal)

To make: Steam the greens and and cook the rice noodles according to package instructions. Add the margarine to the noodles and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Stir in the steamed greens.

Drink of choice             –           V8 juice or   Sparkling water   (60 cal)
