Free 1200 Calorie Diet Menu day 5This is day 5 of our one month free 1200 calorie diet menu to help you continue with your weight loss efforts. Please stick to the diet, no cheating today!

DAY 5 –Total Calories 1187

BREAKFAST     -338 calories total

  • 1 cup Fiber One Honey Clusters  -170 cal  (or substitute your favorite cereal with same calorie count)
  • 1 cup skim milk for cereal -86 cal
  • 1 hardboiled egg    -82 cal
  • lemon water for a drink (squeeze a full lemon into a glass of water)

SNACK       – 35 calories total

  • 7 Olives (if you are not an olive lover, then substitute with your favorite food that is around the same number of calories, such as low fat or low cal crackers or cut up veggies.


LUNCH      – 395 calories total

  • 1 (90 grams) tinned red salmon (191 cal) mixed with 1 tablespoon of light mayonnaise (36 cal) again substitute tuna if you don’t like salmon
  • 1 raw carrot (30 cal)
  • 1 slices of whole-meal bread with a 1 tsp. butter(148 cal)

Mix the tuna or salmon with mayo and heap onto the bread. You can shred the carrot and top the sandwich with shredded carrot and a tomato slice or lettuce if desired.

Drink- zero calorie soda, tea or coffee


SNACK         -60 calories total

  • 1 cup of berries of choice or 1 or 2 pieces of turkey jerky


DINNER     – 359 calories total

  • Two Chicken Kale Wraps

For this recipe You will need:

  • Balsamic vinegar
  • brown sugar
  • cornstarch
  • Dijon mustard
  • salt
  • boneless chicken
  • 1 mango
  • 1 yellow squash
  • kale
  • olive oil
  • toothpicks

Whisk together 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar, 3 tbsp light brown sugar, 2 tsp cornstarch, 2 tsp Dijon mustard and 1 tsp salt.  Once you cook the chicken strips below you will and add in 2 boneless, long thin strips of skin-less chicken breasts (6 oz each).

To make:

Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet. Cook chicken strips in marinade until liquid is mostly absorbed, 3 to 4 minutes.

In a bowl, combine 1 cup each diced yellow squash and diced mango.

Place 1/8 of the chicken and 1/4 cup of the squash and mango mixture on 2 large kale leaves; fold over leaves to close and secure with 2 toothpicks.

In same skillet, heat 1 tbsp olive oil over high heat, add wraps and cook to soften kale. Serve.

  • Drink of choice  – flavoured water  – 0 calories
