Getting slim and losing weight is all about choices, so make sure you use things like oil and margarine sparingly or go out and buy some non-stick cooking spray to cook things like scrambled eggs. The non-stick spray has zero calories making it a good tool to have in your cupboard when you are on a diet.
One way to cut down on calories is by eliminating drinks like milk, chocolate milk, sugary fruit juices etc. You will save up to 100 calories or more for each drink you eliminate. Drink low or no calorie drinks or even water instead.
Read labels when you shop and always buy low-calorie and low-fat foods. Saturated fats especially contribute to high cholesterol and heart disease, and of course they make you fat!

DAY 17 –Total Calories 1202
BREAKFAST -377 calories
- BREAKFAST BAGEL SANDWICH
One ounce of feta cheese (75 calories)
2 scrambled eggs (182 calories)
and 1 slice of bagel (120 calories)
First, scramble the eggs in a frying pan that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray and then toss the eggs with the feta cheese. Place on top of half of a bagel.
Drink of choice
1 cup of Water with the juice of half of a lemon
SNACK -60 calories
1 medium Handful of peanuts
LUNCH -400 calories
- HAM SALAD ROLLS
In a food processor, mix or combine 3/4 cups diced ham (200 calories), some chopped up celery, diced up onion, and 1 or 2 diced pickles or pickle relish.
Mix in ½ tablespoon low fat mayonnaise (45 calories) until moistened, as well as some sweet pickle juice.(if you use jarred pickles)
Add a dash of pepper and salt to taste and then stir in 1 diced hard-boiled egg (100 calories).
Arrange some large lettuce leaves on soft rolls and fill it with the ham salad mixture.
Drink of choice
Tea of choice or diet drink of choice with low or no calories

DINNER -365 calories
- ORANGE CILANTRO CHICKEN (224 cal)
Saute 2 ounces skinless, boneless chicken breasts with about a tsp. of coriander seed over medium-high heat until browned.
De-glaze the pan with a little bit of orange juice, and then simmer for about 5 minutes.
Next, season with salt and pepper to taste and then add a handful of chopped cilantro and cook for about another 1 minute or more.
Drink of choice Iced Tea or Lemon Water (20 cal)
Side dish – Green bean casserole (121 cal)
Cook the green beans according to the directions on the package. Add a little salt.
Cook 1/2 chopped up onion in a bit of non-stick cooking spray until onion is tender. Stir in the 1/4 cup of bread crumbs; then set those aside.
Combine 1 small can of condensed cream of mushroom soup, some chopped pimento (from a jar) , a dash or so of pepper and the beans in casserole dish.
Bake in 350 degree Farenheit oven for 26 to 30 minutes.
Sprinkle the bread crumbs on top as desired.
